I totally agree about getting tired of the "Lume" ads, as well as so many other ads. It seems that the number of ads has increased. More time in ads than actual programming. But on another item, someone mentioned Joey Heatherton from many moons ago. What a doll!!. Her husband at the time, NFL receiver Lanze Rentzel really screwed up. He had her to come home to and lost it!!.

I hope the OP doesn't mind my posting this picture of Joey Heatherton I took in 1974. For those that might recognize the name but can't quite remember her. She was quite an attractive lady!

The T.V. ad that is number one on my hate list is of the woman shaving her pubic hair.
A close number two is the armits one.

Man, these folks are spending a huge amount of money on ads! You can hardly watch TV without one of their ads coming up in just about every break and I get at least 20 to 30 e-mail ads a week as well. Now they have even re-branded the product to pull in male customers by calling it "Mando." Personally, I would rather stink than buy this product due to all the annoying ads! Just wondering if anyone else here is sick of hearing about it as well and needed to vent a bit. Good luck and good photography to all.

I've been sick of them for a while.

I'm sick of Shannon Klingman. I'm sick of the amateurish production quality of the commercials...though they do seem a bit hight quality. I'm just sick of the ads looking like they were done on a cheap cell phone. Any iPhone or Samsung phone would do a better job. I'm also sick of the concept that I need to de-stinkify parts of my body that no one should be getting close enough to smell any hint of BO...and honestly....if you stink that much in those areas that is publicly noticeable...you DO have a problem.

Thanks for providing me this forum to finally rant on this.

It does seem like they are increasing the number of commercial minutes per hour. There needs to be a law or FTC rule.

I hear you.. I feel the same way.
My main beef is with the MyPillow ads! This is not a political issue....
I feel that the MyPillow guy is yelling at me. Also, when the ads run, it shows up every 15 minutes and the ad is the same every time.

I tape everything I watch. Even the evening news. That way I speed through the commercials. Prime network, which now has commercials, doesn't allow this. We're giving up Prime when our subscription runs out in June.

Bud,
I do not watch live TV. Everything is recorded. No commercials!
I don't mind the slight delay for viewing.

I don't see that many Lume or Mando ads where I am here in NY, and not getting any emails from them (knock on wood), but maybe certain locale's are targeted to see those ads more than other areas are. They don't really bother me that much, but I do agree with "PhotogHobbyist" about the ad he mentioned... that one is going a tad bit overboard, LoL.

The one ad I especially dislike is the fat girl taking the diabetes medication who is dancing around and singing about all the weight she is losing. Yeah I know, that is one of the benefits of those drugs for people that are diabetics, but too many people that are not diabetics are taking the drugs to simply lose weight, not because they are a diabetic, therefore causing an actual shortage of the drug for the people that really need it, and increasing the cost of the drug.

Just my 2ยข on the subject.

Yeah, I've never understood why they need to advertise drugs to the general public like they do, especially when they can't be obtained without a doctor's script. Seems like they could save a lot of money and possibly mYourake these new drugs more affordable without all the ads. As an example, they put me on Farxiga last year and my co-pay was $300.00, but to make it even worse, they charged my insurance something like $2500.00 for each refill and that put my into the gap coverage level in just a few months and I had to pay more for every script after that, most of which I was getting with no co-pay whatsoever. Man, what a racket!

Your Doc should have given you a form to get this for FREE if you qualify for the income limit. Filled out the form for my wife and gave back to Doc to fax in with his prescription. Company took two weeks to set up our free delivery every month directly to our home address. My insurance plan would have made my co-pay $47.50 a month and yes this would have caused my gap coverage to fill up quickly. Check with your Doc.

I wonder if she starts smearing that stuff in her cracks and crevices before smearing on the rest of her body. I am pretty sure that in one of her commercials, she states that she is a doctor. How did someone with such an apparently low IQ get to be a doctor? Very irritating commercials!! The "Balance of Nature" commercials are just as bad. You have all of your fruits and veggies in bottle. People are pouring out a handful of capsules and gulping them down. It must cost them a small fortune. And how about the Huckabee commercials? We are supposed to be super-impressed by this "former presidential candidate" and buy all of the products that he endorses. Well, there is my rant for the day!!!

With regard to the Huckabee commercials, it's a result of our system that whoever pays the most money calls the shots. These candidates for public office become indentured servants to companies that fund their campaign ads. I think Larry Elder was another victim of this scheme. As long as the "winners" are beneficiaries of the "big money" they will never change the system. Candidates should not be able to collect millions of dollars from outside their jurisdictions. Don't hold your breath ;)
