Very nice, Fitz! That RWBB with all the branches was a tough focus.
Nice, I like the first one best

Very nice shots. Love the first one. It tells the story.

I like them all. The first one is a nice picture, but the "bird" takes a backseat to the plant life.
Nice set. I like the foggy/misty look of the first one best.
First, I have made all of these mistakes (my opinion). I still make mistakes and always try to learn from them.
Because of that, I would like to offer these comments.
Tighter crop on #1 v- Coot is lost. Tells a story.
Auto-focus is very difficult in fog for Canada geese. Good catch.
Great Egrets' highlights are blown out. Try stopping down or underexpose with exposure compensation.
Red Winged Blackbird has too many twigs and branches that are distracting and intersect the bird. Try changing position.
Last one is nice but crop tighter on subject.
Good effort.
