Captured with a Sony A7R V camera and Astro-Tech 65EDQ scope with a Hutech HEUIB-II filter on a Celestron Evolution mount; 67x30 sec. subs @ ISO3200.
Alignment, stacking and initial stretch done in PixInsight. The remainder of the postprocessing was done in Lightroom and Photoshop (A-P).
The first image shows the full frame image. The second image concentrates on Markarian's Chain at the top of the field-of-view.
Enjoy!

How could we not enjoy?! These are GREAT! I'm resisting with all my strength getting into Astro Photography! I'm glad you are doing it so I can just peak in every now and again!!
And yes, as you say, we are all born of stardust! How fascinating is that!?

One of my favorite subjects, but haven't managed to get one as good as yours. All I can say is billions and billions...

Good point! But you (or I) have to set limits somewhere! I'm pretty much committed to wildlife and landscapes.
Just in case you're interested: Tucson Astronomy Festival
This year, it will be held Saturday March 30, 2024 from 3 - 9 pm at Brandi Fenton Memorial Park
I'm probably going to set up my scope with others for viewing Heavenly Bodies.

Hah!
Get set-up right and you can just start the night and wake up to the file.
NINA and Me-na. I'm in nirvana.
I watched my equipment (remotely) do a meridian flip. Then wondered why it did two more.
My conclusion was it was perfecting its aim.
Made me think back on the days when I would try to get my subject centered by hand, and the focus was always off.
Now it's automagical. I'm where I was dreaming of being 10 years ago.
Take a trip and never leave the farm....
