Let's just hope that the little lies and half truths just raise the temperature of the fabric proportionally to the strength of the lie. Then you're safe until you get to the flash point. There might be an opportunity to sell politicians asbestos clothing. As long as the asbestos is sealed in to protect nearby people, it would benefit the population as a whole and produce an effective term limit. (It would also reduce the heat damage to things outside the pants).
