I would not waste my time on CNN even if they paid me.

"This registration window is currently visible to select users." Guess I'm not selected yet, as I have viewed twice this morning (17th) without issue.

I went and checked also and found no problem using their site. Never asked to "join".
(But I didn't hit my limit.) Many places have "free limits".
WSJ won't show you much of anything unless one subscribes.

I do. I find that they are a good source for the news.
I got the same message yesterday, and thought that they may be headed toward a subscription model.
In a generation or two, everything will require continual payments. "Buying" will become an archaic word.

Millions still do... There is a reason they have been around since 1980. Ted Turner is the grandfather of cable news.
They have struggled lately, to find a leader who isn't whiplashed by politics. But frankly, ALL video is going to be Internet video in the future.
Broadcasting as we know it is dying a death of a billion tiny cuts. That's sad, because it is all too easy to lie, cheat, steal, betray, deceive, and mislead people with micro channels. Truth and objectivity have become tainted commodities.
Obviously they are tracking you.
Looks like you could afford the price. It is a free account. I have had one for over a year, and have not been asked for any additional payment.
What? Miss out on Jeffery Tubin live?

They sometimes have interesting documentaries, like the current one on the history of Las Vegas. The commercials drive me crazy.
