First trip to the Dam in 2024

Three weeks after back surgery I was able to travel to Conowingo Dam - that’s about as far as I can comfortably travel right now. The Susquehanna is high and so all of the Dam gates were open which is not conducive to eagle fishing. There were well over 40 eagles in the trees but none were fishing close to the Dam. The Great Blue herons were on their nests high up on the island and the cormorants were enjoying the fast moving water flow.

Beautiful set Elliott. My wife and I were just down there two weeks ago. It's not that far from my house in Millersville. Glad to hear that you're getting around my friend.

Wow, loved seeing the eagles perched on the boulder surrounded by the raging water. Wonderful set, Elliott. Happy to see you’re out shooting again. 😊

Thanks, Joe. The water vapor was dense, so I wasn't sure that it would work.
