I just saw on the news:
1. Perry, Iowa pop 8000
2. Tyson pork processing plant in Perry employes 1200
3. Tyson has announced closing the plant and moving its work to other plants.
4. Tyson did not offer the employees to move to those other plants, they are recruiting and already training from
illegal immigrant centers in major cities and moving those people to the plants where the work from Perry is
going.
If this is true, well I don't need anything Tyson sells, I can find substitutes. That may hurt other Tyson workers but if they are doing the above I expect them to force workers out at other plants and replace them with people from the same source. Oh, it did say that Tyson is referring to the new hires as "asylum seekers".
But still, they will absolutely destroy Perry, Iowa.
If some other food company buys the Perry plant and hires the locals back I will do my damnedest to buy their products.
Tyson is huge, owns many brands and has an illustrious track record of many different violations of law over the years.
Owned by one of the richest families in the country, they seem to wield a big stick.
Tyson calls them “asylum seekers” and the government calls them “newcomers”. There is no such thing as an illegal immigrant anymore.

We need laws to stop this BS! These companies are hiring these "immigrants" as a means to lower wages that they would need to pay US citizens. I for one am done with Tyson products period! This BS has to stop!!!
When is common sense going to override tribal political BS!

According to Native Americans, I would imagine, we're all illegal immigrants.

My grandparents were immigrants that came through Ellis Island in the 1920’s. I don’t know if that made them legal back then. My daughter went to the University of Liverpool and brought home a degree in economics and a Liverpudlian husband who had a green card for years before becoming a citizen. My son married a Guatemalan woman, a graduate of the University of Alabama and a World Bank manager. My grandchildren favor their mother and look like the children I see on the news at the border trying to enter. I have a frame of reference.

Good luck doing that short of putting all available American troops along the US/Mexico border.
Fine business to the hilt for hiring immigrants without valid visas! Stop the reason that they are coming in the first place!

Yeah. This sucks but economics (pork and chicken sales down) and age of the Perry plant is forcing Tyson to close up shop. They closed chicken plants in VA and AR. When is the last time you sent a letter to your congressman and/or the president to demand he get control of the border?? That's the common sense.
Tyson is encouraging the affected employees to seek work in its other plants in Iowa. Besides the plant affected, it still employees 9,000 workers in Iowa and has four other pork plants. Tyson is also closing two chicken processing plants. Demand must be down.
Perhaps they could convert to Kale production.

Shooting-towers! Snipers! Night-vision scopes.
Drop ‘em and let them rot as advertisements to other Illegal Transgressors / border jumpers.

Our ancestral line goes back to England and Germany — diaries from the time are hard to read, but date to about 1700.
STILL “illegals” and “aliens” to the natives . . . .
