It's an image of a happy mom on Mothers' Day with three happy kids, well, that's what they want you to believe ....
You should have ended your comment at kids...the rest was just snarky.

After viewing the bbc article one thought comes to mind...bbc is separating ground pepper from fly s---!
Pretty sure the U.S. outlets are doing the same

Whether British Royal Family, or U.S. celebrities, this is social media in the 21st century.

Wow! I am so surprised by the tone of these replies! Besides being a Royal, she is just another amateur photographer, like so many of us here, who likes to take and edit family pictures. Actually, I believe William took the picture.
Unfortunately, she made the mistake of sharing this picture with her amateur editing,. which was pointed out by the AP and other
news agencies.
My heart goes out to her. She has done her job of being a Royal with grace and charm and is a lovely, caring Wife and Mom.
I don't think she deserves all this cruel criticism.

Yes, surely it was an innocent mistake. I don't think Kate had any bad intention. Unfortunately, rules are rules, and the AP was right to kill the photo.
It's an object lesson in what may, and may not be submitted, for publication. News sources have come under extremely heavy fire, recently. So THANK-YOU to those journalistic institutions who insist on checking original sources and checking integrity, to be certain that what they publish is accurate, real, true, complete, and unvarnished.
If I were Kate, I'd apologize, explain what happened, and why AP was right to take back the photo. And I'd submit an unaltered photo in its place. Set the good example...

I usually agree with your posts but don't feel that Kate owes anyone an apology. Considering the very, very minor editing done, I don't think there was any intent to deceive or harm anyone.

To those who did not know who Kate Middleton is...what planet are you from?
I’m from planet earth, and live in the United States of America. In case you missed it, the US became independent from England 250 years ago, That is what we celebrate on July 4th—Independence Day. The “Royal Family” is totally, completely, 100% meaningless to me. Just the same as family members of leaders of any other country on earth.

Really?? We're no longer ruled by England??? Thanks so much for bringing me up to date!
By the way, I too have little interest in the Royal Family but anyone on earth that doesn't know who they are is quite unbelievable.

A planet (country) where they don't give a damn about British royalty, because they are not British subjects, perhaps?
As an American, I find it hard to understand why my fellow Americans have such an obsession with royalty.
We don't have a system of royals. We don't have a monarchy. We don't have a realm. It just doesn't matter here. Yet it's such a slow news day at certain journalistic outlets that they have to obsess over some other country's idle rich people.
I know people who sit around reading *Us* and *People* and various tabloids full of idol worship. They know every name of every royal there is. So? What's the point? Oh, it's just interesting?
I'm glad I never developed that interest.

I agree you Bill, I don’t understand it either. We are citizens not subjects, we stand upright not bow and curtsy.

Why? What is so important about the British Royal Family? Without looking it up, can you name the wife of the oldest son of any other king of any other country? Why not?

I also have little interest in the Royal Family but it's hard to comprehend that inhabitants of this planet do not know who they are.
