Gosh these are so lovely. It's a beautiful area and you're lucky to have access to it. Here's my take on slow shutter speeds for water, not that you asked: they're your photos and you can do what you damn well please with them. People clutch their pearls and go faint when they see silky water (or photos in black and white, which is why I now post mine in that section), but I think it has its place, and between your first two photos of the falls with different shutter speeds, I prefer the slower one because it has a greater contrast between the sharpness of the trees and rocks and the softness of the rushing water. Very nice job.

Thanks! I do feel very lucky to live here and be able to get out and enjoy all aspects of it. I like the slower shutter speed and silky water look. And I love playing around with various speeds to see which works best for the scene. But I do know a lot of people don't like the slow speed look. That's why I include both.

Was able to get out yesterday and take a walk on Going to the Sun road in Glacier. These shots are from McDonald Falls but we went further up to Scared Dancing Cascade falls as well. Will add another post for those shots.

Played around with slow shutter and an ND64 filter -- was fun! I know some people like the slow shutter and silky water and some don't

Cindy these photos are all so AWESOME. What a beautiful place. I would LOVE to be close and be able to take photos there. Post more when you can. Thanks BE SAFE!!

Thanks Tom! It takes me about 20 minutes to get to Glacier. We used to spend a lot of time hiking/horseback riding in Glacier but the last 5 yrs or so it's gotten to crowded in the summer months with tourists. So I now only go there in the winter months. I don't mind sharing though, everyone needs to experience Glacier National Park at least once in their lifetime....it's amazing!
