Using Solar filter only very narrow spectrum gets thru.
Would you use RAW or JPEG enough?

Thousand Oaks telescope, they have sheets of filter material, in 2017, I used a cardboard box from Marie caleders frozen food, cut a 7 inch long 5 inch tall and i gaff taped the filter in the opening, it was much easier to use then the cardboard glasses. Also you can cut a piece to cover your lens

Check out Amazon for special filters available. Also google eclipse pghotography online and make sure you get a certified filter.

I have a thread which I started back before the October annular eclipse which covers many aspects of photographing solar eclipses. Anyway, it might be worth your time to give it a look:

I have purchased a NISI Solar filter from B&H Photo for my Tamron 150-500mm lens. Just started using it today to practice...
