Using Solar filter only very narrow spectrum gets thru.
Would you use RAW or JPEG enough?
Thousand Oaks telescope, they have sheets of filter material, in 2017, I used a cardboard box from Marie caleders frozen food, cut a 7 inch long 5 inch tall and i gaff taped the filter in the opening, it was much easier to use then the cardboard glasses. Also you can cut a piece to cover your lens

Check out Amazon for special filters available. Also google eclipse pghotography online and make sure you get a certified filter.
