But with everyone having a Smart phone, and you can now take pictures with them. Dose anyone know if you can use a Real Professional camera at a concert. Have looked for info on ticket site's and the venue site. All it says is no flash photography during the show. Dose anyone have any experience or advice on this subject. I appreciate any Help thanks.

Get a recent smartphone or iphone.
Most venues/artists have already sold/licensed the rights to images and videos.
I was at the Greek (I'm in LA, CA) and there were security rovers.
They even disagreed with my A900, but my iphone was OK.

The galaxy S21,22,and 23 with their telephoto reach of 30x and digital enhancement may be ideal for this scenario. The tele goes beyond 30x but it is best between 10x and 30x.

I had gone to a concert with my Canon EOS Rebel 2000. I mistakenly believed the security would allow it since it was a film camera. NOPE! I had to jump off the line, run back to my car, place my camera in the trunk and run back to wait on line again.

Yup. Last time we went to the Dallas Cowboys game was over a decade ago (sorry Jerry Jones, too commercialized, too expensive, and I'll never go again), and even then big cameras were not allowed. And parking was so bad, most had to park anywhere from 1/2 - 1 mile away. Going back to one's car gets you a lot of exercise, and a lot of wasted time.

Depending on how the Cowboys were doing that year, it could have been six hours of wasted time!

My daughter recently bought a smartphone (I don't know the model), and it has a 100x telephoto built-in. She doesn't use it except for the camera. She showed me some shots from a concert she attended and despite being back about halfway in the seating area, her photos looked like she was in the first couple of rows. The photos were excellent and captured the singers from about the waist up.

Although cell phones suffer from lower pixel count, a few months ago a friend from work had taken a shot of a lighthouse at sunset that was beautiful. I took his 5.3mb image and ran it through Topaz. First Gigapixel to get it to over 15mb and then through DeNoise. He had an 18x36 inch print made from it and it came out looking like it had been taken with a large format camera. It was beautiful!

The question isn't what is a "real professional camera." It's "what is 'Real Professional' camera."

I have been in the Grand Ole Opry and the Ryman theatre in Nashville with my Nikon D800 and a 70-300mm lens with no problem. I go by the ad for the show if it doesn’t state ‘no cameras allowed’, I walk on in. With the advantage caused by cell phones I think they gave up on trying to stop anyone from photographing the events!

Have you ever used a High End Smart Phone camera like Apple or Samsung? I think not!

Gooid question. Some "professional photographers" have been using smart phones.

I saw her in the Mid 1970s with Fleetwood Mac on the *Rumours* tour. GOOD concert.

Then future wife and I saw her live in 1983. She was stoned out of her gourd on stage.

I don't begrudge anyone their recreational drug use, but when it affects performance on the job, that's a problem.
