Last night I watched a true professional make the State of The Union Address and he was awesome.
This morning, I'm reading remarks from the usual right-wing cult on the Hog and it only made it better for me.
People like Willie The Dealer, Dennis the Screw, and Rac the Liar, are totally pissed off by the fact that Biden was on-point, and their senseless attacks on him, only prove my point.
The GOP response to the speech made by Senator Britt of Alabama from her kitchen was ineffective and frankly sad. Even I, who believe the Republican Party has lost its way, thought they could do better than this.
Marjorie Taylor Green was apparently self-appointed as the Republican Clown and dressed for the part before making a total fool of herself.
Congratulations however are owed to Lauren Bobert who sat next to Matt Getz and wasn't seen giving him a hand-job like she does for most of her dates.
My advice to the GOP, is to keep pissing off women and educated voters. I'm sure enough beer-drinking slobs driving old pick-up trucks and caressing their guns will be there to try to keep you in office. (NOT)!!!!

The year-over-year inflation rate was 3.1% in January, down from 9% in June 2022, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The current rate inflation is still higher than the 1.4% rate when Biden took office. – from FactCheck.

looking at the entire three years of Biden’s presidency so far, the Consumer Price Index has risen a total of 18%. – FactCheck.

Reality check: Between 2021 and 2023, inflation was much higher than earnings, so workers' standards of living fell sharply. – from Axios.

The politics of high grocery prices appears much more likely to be a problem for Biden. “People are really confused why food prices are going up and down — what really stands out to people is the erraticism,” said Celinda Lake, a Democratic pollster. “Every day, people are saying: I used to leave the grocery store with three bags. And now it’s two for the same amount of money.” – from WP.

Year old information, but OK.

I'm paying $.38/lb for bananas, $1.30 for a head of lettuce. What are your prices for those?
Bananas - $0.71/lb; Lettuce - $1.75 in Naples, FL

and grocery prices!!

For some reason many think prices will go back to pre inflation levels - when has that every happened ???. They need to actually think about the chain of events ( labor cost and materials ) involved in bring grocery products to the shelves .

I wasn't denying that inflation WAS bad and that Covid disruptions happened. What Biden has done is bring inflation down to 3% faster than expected to be possible. Wages are positive against inflation. Things besides inflation impact food prices.

Is inflation down to where fed rate cuts are being considered - Yes
Are real wages increasing - yes
Is US the highest oil producer - yes
Is job growth positive - yes
Is the market favorable to Bidenomics - yes
Is the US doing better than most other nations - yes

Your pulling out numbers without relating them to reality is just cherry picking. Everything Biden said is true.

"In response to Biden’s claim, the Republican Party tweeted, “Biden wants us to believe real wages are higher under ‘Bidenomics.’ They aren’t.” The post notes, “real wages are down 3% since Biden took office.” It’s true that measuring from the start of Biden’s term in office, January 2021, real weekly earnings for production and nonsupervisory employees, the measure we prefer, have declined about 3.5%.

But that’s not the statistic Biden cited. Instead, he compared real wages now to those before the pandemic. Using January or February 2020 as a starting point, which makes the most sense, Biden is correct. We’ll leave it to politicians to debate whether that is due to so-called Bidenomics, as Biden claimed."

What other metrics do you want answers for? Next?

Keep whining! The US has come out of the pandemic is far better shape than any other country, thanks to Biden. The stock market has not collapsed as predicted, instead it is soaring it's highest levels ever, jobs again beat expectations, wages up, unemployment is at lowest sustained levels in the past 60 years!

Yes we have problems, but things are moving in the right direction with gas prices going down, food prices getting lower too. Biden is hard to deal with after all of this continued WINNING!

Suck it up buttercup Trump looks and sounds like a 5 year old brat that needs an asswhopping and is heading towards another one in November if the economy keeps tracking at these rates!!! Hallelujah!!

As expected for Naples where a comfort Inn hotel room is over $400/night. You are not in the real world as most of us experience it.

I wonder if it will ever come out what they are using to charge him up. Intravenous Coke?
Dr. Hunter probably prescribes it. Daddy will probably be out for a couple days and wake up as his normal self wondering what happened where he is.

Yes, he predictably used Trump as a foil, but he did NOTHING to try to reach across the aisle to generate bipartisan support for some of the issues that are on the table. The entire speech was nothing more than a rant peppered with lies and exaggerations.

Biden had bipartisan support for his new immigration policy, BUT Drumpf and Magic Mike Killed that. So much for reaching across the aisle.

Whatever it is Trump needs to try something other than a cheeseburger and fries. He is still acting the age that he eats like!

When I have time, I'll post the fact checks to all of your bogus assertions. Until then, you'd be hard pressed to find anything negative about the Biden economy including the most recent jobs and inflation reports. The democrats still need to work on housing affordability as supply just isn't yet where it needs to be.

Must be nice to live in a world where you don’t have to eat, heat your house or put fuel in your car.

Inflation rates are still higher than they were under Trump. Inflation rates are still higher than they were under Trump. Biden said inflation is going down yeah from the 9% inflation rate he created but still higher than under Trump. PedoBiden also lied about creating 14 million jobs. That’s not true hardly any jobs were created under his watch. The mass majority of Americans Say that Joe Biden is doing bad on the economy which he is.

And Biden said that the Republicans are playing politics with immigration. Which is probably true. But then he’s playing politics as well because why all of a sudden he wants to steal past on an election year? So Biden is playing politics as well.
