Magpie tails

These are thru the windows with the OM-1 and 40-150 lens. I believe the younger the magpie, the shorter the tail. The first was supposed to be of the starling but the magpie in the background is a good example of an adult tail. The tail is as long as the bird. The last two show different lengths. Hope you find this tidbit interesting.

Very interesting and great shots Barbara. If you love the Magpies (I do) I hope you have seen the videos of Peggy and Molly on You Tube. Molly is a male Magpie (when he was a baby, they thought he was a female, hence the name) and their dog raised him. They are inseparable inside the house and out.
