If you read my entire post - I did get back to the topic.
By the way, one other unusual item I carry in my bag (well kind of unusual) is my FD-RF adaptor. I still have several FD lenses that I use one my 1984 Canon T70 film camera and I sometimes like to adapt them to my R5 just for grins. Actually not bad, but of course only manual focus possible.
Yes, I'm aware that you did AFTER you spoke your piece.
I carry a pair of Playtex Living Gloves to help loosen and remove stuck lens filters.
I carry an Ashton or a Montecristo cigar. Even if I had of photography, I can sit back and enjoy a good smoke.
I have read what others carry and I’m surprised. I am grateful that we all respected each other. Thanks for the opportunity to share!

I'm not a smoker but I heartily approve of your humor

Thank you very much. I’m not a big cigar smoker. Perhaps one or two per month. It is a nice habit with a glass of whiskey or cognac. Besides my wife throws me out of the house

Yeah, smoking and alcohol seem to go hand in hand. I did my share of both in my younger days but now I don't smoke at all (since 1977) and only have an occasional drink when out to dinner or a family social event.
Although smoking can't be good for you, I doubt that one or two per month will do much damage and if it gives you pleasure feel free to do so. In consideration of those who don't, I'm sure you do it outdoors.

I just recently added a lensatic field compass and one of those thermal blanket things ,suppose to keep you warm at night or safe from a fire. also added a BIG Rambo knife containing fishing string n hook, compass, fire starter, and tree saw inside. also water purification tablets.
Ive been getting deeper and deeper in the woods and swamps.

The cigars and the hooch from my younger days. I like to sit back and have both by the campfire now as I am getting older.

I carry a Model 1911 .45 ACP! Don't know if that would be considered unusual??

I used to, but it was my Dad's and his dad's before that. Didn't want to risk it getting snatched. Now I just slip in a S&W Airweight .38.
