My sciatic pain got so bad that I struggled walking and doing simple tasks. After two months of PT my therapist convinced me to go back to my neurosurgeon (he performed my first back surgery in 2018). Last Wednesday (2/21/24) he repaired a ruptured disc (L4/S1) and removed some arthritic tissue which was also impinging on the nerve ending. I will have the 28 staples removed this coming Monday. During my home stay I did lots of reading on many subjects and learned some new postprocessing techniques. The first images below are photos taken previously but processed during my home stay. I bought Keyboard Maestro (for automating your Mac) and have written several macros which are time savers. I think I 'll learn AppleScript as well. As I'm not allowed to lift more than 5 lbs for 6 weeks, I ventured out yesterday with my Z50 and an 11mm manual focus Pergear prime lens. I walked 1 mile and felt very stable. I'll keep this going for a while until I can get back to using the Z9. The last two photos were taken at Exton Park yesterday. 20210426_Super Moon_Goshen Park_7292 new3 by Elliott Cobin, on Flickr

Nice captures. Welcome back. Sorry to hear about your problems. I hope that things work out for you, very fast. That is nothing that anyone should have to go through.

Many of my friends & family have some back issue. Thanks very much, Vinnie.
Very nice work. I can appreciate what you have gone through, health wise. I've had two surgeries on my back and one on my neck, all involving disc issues.

Thanks very much. This is my second back surgery. I currently have significant pain but the neurosurgeon indicated that it typically takes many months for the nerve to heal. I can walk much better now and will be getting out again.
