Where did you take this? Would love to go there...
It's in Concord,NC It's actually part of the old Stonewall Jackson Youth Detention Center.
Level or not it's a great picture.
Great! I live in Lenoir, so that's a do-able day trip. I went to SJTS when I was at Wingate College (University) now as part of a class I was taking in Human Services. I'll have to check it out....Do we need permission to visit? Thanks for the info...
cday,
Not sure if you need permission or not, I didn't ask I just helped myself. There are no "No Trespassing" signs nor fences or barricades. Just keep in mind that it is a detention facility. I also took several shots of the old housing units. Those I would not go in for fear of falling through the floor.
I also took a shot of the inside of the church that I may post. It is much more "Cooked" than the outside shot though.
Thanks for letting me know...forgiveness before permission. Maybe I'll snag my husband and drag him along....he works for a sheriff's dept (he may have some former "guests" there)....any good cemeteries close by there?
he and should get along great should we meet, I work for the Sheriff Office as well. If you happen to come on a Sunday maybe we could meet up. I want to go back out there and get some shots of the old housing units.
Thanks goes out to JJestar for giving me a great tip in leveling the horizon in my shots when needed.

Your welcome, love to be able to help.
Perhaps in a month or so....photo class at the community college starts 7 January and I know I'll need some upcoming photos...I think David is changing things up this coming semester - a photo a week instead of papers and projects (book, 8x10 photo and video...) would rather do the paper and projects...sometimes it's hard to get photos between Tuesday and Thursday when one works and works and works....and obligations @ church, with family,e tct.....blah blah....will get back with you on getting to Concord.....
