I rather like your original post. The harsh contrast and strong lines are compelling to me. The way you cropped it mostly keeps my eye within the frame, other than the line running to left to middle right.

Thanks very much, Jared. I'm pleased to hear. The theme is new to me (aside from having unconsciously created tension occasionally), so has been a good learning experience.

Do you mean the full image I provided for editing or the totally different subject I inserted in my long reply to you and others?

I guess both are easier on the eyes than what I posted in the opening. I just have to learn how much tension is "too much."

Your latest image -- the smaller one.

First, please note that the second photo was for ecobin to use. It was not intended as a finished work. Bruce, have at it; would love to see your pencil sketch too!
I just meant I was looking forward to Ecobins version. That’s an area I’ve yet to try.

Well that quote didn’t work.
I was just hoping to see Ecobins sketch, I’ve yet to try that.

Ah, gotcha. Thanks!

You replied inside my own quote; that is why you can't see it. I typed the requisite formatting and pasted your comment inside, and then replied, but by then you'd written a new comment, so that's where we are now
