Looking for a perfectly working subject camera that will not bust the budget.
Nikon, Pentax, Canon, Olympus, or?
What have you?

What won't bust the budget? Also what period do you consider vintage?

Budget max $400, pref less unless prime condition and/or with lens
Vintage: 50 years old or of the same era as cameras such as the Nikon F2, CanonF1, Olympus OM-1, Leicaflex SL2
- maybe Pentax Spotmatic.
All or nearly all mechanical.
Max budget $400 or less? Unless [in] prime condition and/or with lens?
None of my complete set (which essentially includes every finder that Nikon ever offered on an F) of (pristine, and all with lenses) of Nikon F's are up for grabs, nor are any of my F2's or F3HP's either, but you might find the nearly PRISTINE (which means that it meters properly, has light seals that still seal light, but whose only 'detriment' is that it has somebody's name engraved on the bottom of it's baseplate) fully mechanical Pentax K1000 SE (which would be the version whose bright-work is chrome but rather than the body being black, it has the brownish/blackish/maroonish covering on its body) that I have --and am willing to part with-- for the princely sum of $50 (plus shipping, which I'd expect to be maybe $15 or $20?), worthy of your consideration. Please note, however, that this Pentax does NOT have a proper Pentax f/1.4 50mm lens attached; it's instead got an f/2.0 50mm Ricoh lens on it.
Beyond that, none of my pre- or post-WWII vintage Leicas would be in your price range. And I doubt you'd want any of the other vintage rangefinder cameras I have in my stable.

I don't have any of the cameras you mentioned. I have a few that are 70's vintage and mechanical. Those are the Pentax KX, K1000 and the S3 (which is older than 70's). A couple of the Nikon FM, a couple of Minolta SrT 101.
I have a Pentax Spotmatic with 3 lenses
and a Nikon 8008 with some accessories and lenses.
PM me if interested
Would a Pentax MX interest you? It does have a meter, but otherwise is completely mechanical. I have a couple and would let one go to an enthusiastic photog. It has been completely serviced by Eric Hendrickson and is in near mint condition. I’ll even throw in some “vintage” film with it.
I need to start selling off my collection - way too many cameras and not enough time to use them.
Stan
Yes, would be interested in the MX.
PM me with details and your price.
Thanks.
I have near mint om1 om2 om3 om4t. Several Leica R. But not with 50 1.4 lens. Pentax mx lx k1000 canon etc. I am a collector. Canon , Nikon f3 f5. Fm2. FFe2 many more. What do you prefer.

I looking to down size my camera collection of 35mm cameras :
Canon A-1 with Canon 50mm 1:1.4 lens. Canon C-1TR Motor Drive.
Pentax K-1000. Camera change to take M42 lenses. Takumar 1: 1.4 50mm lens.
Pentax ME Super with Pentax 50mm lens.
Nikon EM with Nikkor 50mm 1:1.4 // N/AI-S (Nikon ?) 24mm lens. Nikon MD-E Motor Drive.
Olympus OMG Olympus Zuiko 50mm lens // Nikura Auto Zoom 80-200m
Minolta XG-M Minolta MD 50mm lens. Minolta Auto Winder G
All cameras have been fully tested with film, no problems. Did not listed price because you may want all of them or just one of them. How would you like them ship? Use PM to answer those question. No return on cameras.
How about a Rolleiflex SL35E with Rollie 50mm F1.4. Tamron adaptol 28mm and 70-210mm . I also have a Minolta Maxxun 7000i and Minolta Dynax 5 . Both have the Minolta 28-100mm. I also have the Minolta flash.

I was not the original person asking, but, Olympus OM’s are my passion. I shoot with the OM4 and would like to upgrade to the OM4t. Could you give me a price? Thanks. Paul
