Nice to see that these boats are still seaworthy and in the water for the show at Clayton,NY! It's been a few years since we attended the shows when we were still living in the Adirondacks (2003). I remember the smile on the old skipper of the Dancing Bear as he took one person after another for a quick spin around the harbor.
The Mahogany Chris-Craft runabouts IMO are among the most beautiful boats ever built.
Chris Crafts are the most popular, but there other crafts that are better, like Hackercrafts, Garwoods, Grandcrafts to mention a few. Century's were Popular early but fell out of favor......Chris crafts were popular because they had double bottoms, one at an angle and one from front to back. Centurys were Board and Batten, they were known as leakers....
Some fine old wooden vessels, well captured Rondog.

Looks like a Chrysler Hemi on the third shot, probably late 50s or 60s. From how the outside looks, I suspect the insides had been tinkered with. I bet it would run! Probably not so well at low rpm’s but when opened up I bet she would haul!
I remember Alter Ego and am glad to know it still exists. It was a very successful racer driven by Fred Sayers (I'm unsure of the spelling of his last name).
