But I type faster than you do, so I don't know why I didn't win this one
Could be they are pushing the R8, so they discontinued the T8i a little faster than they would have in the past. But they should still repair them. Unless they have run out of parts, they make so many parts for the repair service based on total sales of each model and maybe the T8i didn't sell that well before the R8 started snagging the sales.

Thank you, Walter Cronkite !
I have five aging SLRs. All digital.
All discontinued. Not new news.

Haha, Most type faster than me!
I never took typing in school.
But I'm really fast at the hunt-n-peck method!
Seems odd for a programmer, eh?
"Water is Wet"
Not necessarily, freeze water to a low enough temperature and it feels very dry. Make sure your finger is also very dry when you touch it, or you will be joined to that very dry ice.

Apparently you skipped class that day, but I did not. Such a shame that a CPO should be so ignorant about water. That will be all.
Ok I as able to contact Canon and they accepted my Rebel T8i for repair! Wohho! Problem solved. But I still may upgrade to the 90D to have two cameras in case of a similar situation in the futureā¦thanks everyone for helping me and offering advice ! I thank you all. Walt
