Normally don't take pictures like this but couldn't resist.
Taken with a iPhone Cell phone.
Driving on N Central Expressway South in the Lowes Parking Lot in Plano TX
Just south of Walmart
Couldn't believe my eyes

Ken, why is there a red strip painted in front of a set of parking slots? The use of a red strip indicates a no parking designation, at least in the rest of Texas. Are people 'slow' in Plano?

those are not parking spaces. too shallow or short. prolly marked spaces for hot dog and peanut vendors.

The red line is to remind people to park cars behind the line and also between the white lines.
This came about when we got the out of towners who already treat the highway(s) as if driving in Nascar
Melting pot so to speak - unlike the San Antonio region

I always feel very sorry for people who have to live in their cars. But for the grace of God, there go I.

I like the "park behind the red line" idea. I see people literally park in the driving lane sometimes. One person at our local post office barely turned her(?) car into the parking space and called it parked. That car blocked traffic for nearly an hour!
