Beautiful shots Barbara. If go and sit very still and toss some peanuts on the ground by your feet, they will come and get them, then you can soon have them eating out of your hand. I know this....have seen it happen many times.
I have been working with my second set of squirrels in a playground at the back of my apartment. Adjacent to that area there is a green fence that surrounds the basketball and tennis courts below. Often I have found my guys casually sitting there. More than once, in catching their expressions they seem fascinated by what's happening on the courts. Can you imagine what might be going through their minds?
So I thought you might enjoy!
Wow! funny and lovely portraiys of a cute little talent! I never could imagine, squirrel can turn out to become a pet!
We feed the birds here in the winter.. We call them our "welfare birds". Many of the squirrel photos show them eating or begging. Are they "welfare squirrels"?

Well, that's an excellent point! I suspect that would depend upon the state the squirrel lives in these days My squirrels are definitely working squirrels. They pose and, like any good model, get paid for their services
