Great looking car, Ron. You're like me....if you love, you take care of it.

Take it easy.

It’s a credit to you ,it’s nice to see that some people look after their car,it’s a beautiful machine.

Thank you Allan...have always looked after my cars, something I love to do. I've slowed down over recent years though due to my rotten spine...

Was that 200SX body style the same one sold in the US? I don’t remember seeing one like that here in the US. That is some beautifully designed sheet metal. It looks just as relevant 20 years later as it did then. So many of the US 200SX models here have been converted to street racers/tuners that finding an original that is still stock and drivable is impossible.

Stan

Hi Stan, no, the S14 was sold in the US but the S15 wasn't. This model was only sold in Japan, Australia & New Zealand. It was the most sought after sports car on the grey market world wide. New Zealand had some quite different models to us here in Australia. All our versions were turbocharged, my model, the Spec S was the quicker version being the lightest weight.
I have done a couple of minor mods, exhaust & induction, that have increased the power to about the same as the Japanese sold version. All can be put back to stock in an hour or so. The motor is still stock. The fastest one of this model runs a 6.9 second 1/4 mile still using the SR20DET motor. The motor is all alluminium and first came onto the scene in about 1989.
The pic is the S14 which you guys got over there.
The S15, being such a popular car world wide, it always amazed me and others, why it was never sold in the US...
A bit of extra reading if you are interested.
Cheers,
Ron.

Nice ride, Ron. My truck is a 2019 Ford F150 with 134,000 miles. Still looks and runs great. We older guys appreciate old things that still work.

Thanks Ken, yep, if it still runs good and makes you happy, it's the way to go for sure...

Thank you, for some reason they never did, you got the previous model, the S14. The S15 was only sold in Japan, Australia & New Zealand.
