Pelican dive

Caught this pelican just before it hit the water. Not sure how many shots I took before I finally got one that was timed right, but with enough perseverance I finally managed

I have seen cormorants do this from about fifty feet up, entering the water with a resounding WHACK
They must have amazingly strong bone structures, especially their skulls

Nice! I’ve seen cormorants plenty of times, but I can’t recall ever having seen them dive. I bet it’s pretty impressive though!
