I love the hawks too, but even when they are atop the utility poles, 40 feet up, they are so skittish - it never ceases to disappoint me. Thanks for the nice visit

It was taken in a huge, 4600-acre wildlife area near my little lake cottage. Kind of hard to slowly drive through every day and spot these creatures in the trees. God knows how many I have passed unawares. It so happened that as I was approaching, this guy flew up from the weeds below and landed in the tree. I slowly crept closer in my one ton Pontiac, and pleasantly shot away. I love the eyeball just looking out

How is everything going at the bottom of the Southern Hemisphere

It’s going fine Joe, but the weather is being quite temperamental at the moment, heavy burst of rain, temperatures dropping I think we have brought it from the UK.πŸ˜‚. I have just done a post of a lunch stop with some lovely landscape shots.

I will check it out Crazy weather I think that particular area is, as is the UK, at the confluence of a lot of different systems (like Chicago as well). Good luck, and I hope things clear up
