That's encouraging Tov.... I have M3 also. I won't worry about going from 2-3 then.

Stable release. No issues, but it may depend on the architecture of the Mac you are using, age being the most important.

MBPro 16" M1/2 iMac 24s M1--just upgraded from Ventura to Sonoma 14.3.1. No issues. As a bonus, for those who have a Z8-Raw Lossless support now included.

Upgrading always messes up my Canon printer, so I'm afraid to upgrade. Canon support though is great and fixes the issue if you get the right person there.

Good Canon luck.

I started out with Macs years ago, been using custom built PS's for the last 30 years or so. Just received a Macbook Pro M3 Max this past Wednesday. Upgraded to 14.3.1 immediately, no issues yet. So I'm a real newby on Mac. There is learning curve so I will give it some time. But so far l'm not really impressed.

No problems downloading Sonoma or with any of their recent updates. Good Luck.

No issues with updating to 14.3.1. In fact I have never experienced any issues with upgrading any of my OS machines be it laptop, mini, iPad, airpods or even the Ultra 2 watch.

Good luck...

I'm guessing you don't really use too many of the features. Most recently tethering a Nikon Z8 or Z9 using a Mac AND Adobe LrC has not been a lot of fun. Other than that, I have seen no issues as I have my new MacBook Air M2 using it and my Studio 1 version back, to be upgraded within the hour. Best of luck.

Zero issues with 14.3.1 that I can attribute to the OS.

I've not been an early adopter since Mac OS 7.0. It pays to wait for two or three point revisions of each major version upgrade. I jumped on 14.2.0 and have had no complaints.

You didn't say what Mac you're on, but I'll assume it's capable of Sonoma, and hopefully it's an Mx series Apple Silicon Mac, rather than Intel. I don't expect Apple will be supporting Intel machines (or Intel software!) for much longer. Nearly all developers have migrated their code to Apple Silicon by now.

I have four systems: A 5-year-old MacBook Pro, a 4-year-old iMac desktop, a 5-year-old iMac Pro Desktop, and a new MacBook Air with the M1 chip. All upgraded fine except the 4-year-old iMac desktop (the non-Pro version). I've had all kinds of problems with it since upgrading including dreadfully slow response, the black screen of death, iMessage works intermittently, etc. I ran Clean My Mac several times and it seemed to help, and it seemed to get better with time - yeah, I know, very odd. I upgraded two months ago and I just decided this morning that I'm going to rebuild the whole thing from the ground up. The performance isn't acceptable and I've hit all the Mac forums trying to figure out what might be wrong, but it seems to be all over the place. Note that this system is Intel-based. I haven't seen any problems on any of the forums with the M chip systems. Good luck!

I have the same issue with an Intel based iMac 21.5

Hi Mark:

I am using Sonoma 14.4.1. I have installed all the updates and have not had any issues with doing any of the updates. I am using a MAC 27 inch desktop that I got two years ago. The only thing I have found is that it is a little slow in booting up and also it occasionally tends to change my wall paper picture when I first turn it on. Apple tech support has not been able to help me with these issues. Other than that, all the updates seem to work fine.

Good luck with you updates.
Joe
