GREAT JOB LMG!! You stared down a Canadian Gate Keeper, rassled your yak into the water, explored water and depths others are reluctant to approach- AND! Brought home photos of your adventure!
You will enjoy your kayak- great for "alone" time, muscle toning and a different perspective… my only suggestion is to add an Olympus TG-6 or TG-7 to the mix- not that it makes better pictures than your phone (I think it does) but, by being waterproof, it’s not afraid of splashes or drips and is always at the ready; literally, two seconds from seeing a great subject to pressing the shutter. Clip on a floating wrist strap and who cares if you drop it overboard… it works underwater, too!

Every year I make one big purchase to support my photography jones. It's usually a lens or sometimes a new camera body. I have never posted pictures of my equipment, or for that matter taken pictures of it. Before I set out this morning on my maiden voyage I sent a cell phone pic to my wife. These are a few shots from todays outing. I missed the sunrise, it took me about an hour to get the Kayak off the car and to the lake. It was my first time and I wasn't to graceful getting it off the roof of my SUV. It weighs about 65 pounds without the seat and peddle drive in place. Getting it back on the SUV was a bit more difficult, gravity is not my friend. What I can say is after I get the transportation thing down this little boat will be great. I was able to shoot while navigating around the rocks, and never a need for the paddle.

Really nice photos! Who is the lovely lady up on the left side in # four??
Cool boat too! Any fish?

I didn't see that when I took it, now I can't unsee it. I when back this morning to see if I could find it and there it was. This will put Prescott on the map! About the fish they just stocked the lake with trout

Really nice set. The first must have been watching you. Curious about number 4 also.

The geese escorted me in this morning. I didn't see the image of a woman in the rocks, but it is there. I went back this morning in different light and now I can't unsee it.

Great perspective, Larry! There are kayak trolleys and carts.

Thanks Mike. I do have a cart, but the big problem it getting it to the roof of the SUV. Its a little over 65 pounds and 11 feet long. This morning I had better luck, I may get a trailer for it

The only shot taken with my phone was of the Kayak. I used a Sony A1 while on the Kayak. Not waterproof but the Kayak is pretty stable. It probably is just a matter of time before one of my cameras visit Davy Jone's locker! Thanks for the heads up on the Olympus. Could have used that in the Galapagos, I had a Gopro for underwater shots, The Olympus sounds like it would have been a better choice

I posted on next door to see if anyone has ever noticed it. I went back today, I don't think you can see it anyother way but from the water. I would be a difficult hike to get to the formation
