The Nikon 24-70G ED is the esteemed workhorse of the Nikon Lens line-up. I am switching to mirrorless otherwise I would not consider selling this pinnacle of my lens collection.
$925 plus shipping (and insurance if buyer desires) Price was determined by averaging the sales pricing of "like" quality from the usual photographic resale firms and deducting a bit to make it competitive. I will consider reasonable offers as I am motivated to sell but in no rush so please don't make ridiculous offers. We're better than that.
The lens will arrive to the buyer in its original box with a matching serial number as the lens.
Also included are the Lens shade, unused soft case and strap, and a polarizing filter.
It's a 24~70. And a great deal! I wouldn't sell mine for that price!
Just pointing out that your post title and photos show a 24~70mm but your write up had a typo calling it a 28~70mm. No biggie!
Your post says it's a VR lens...but I don't see where it says that on the lens
jpicc1113's inference on about the presence of Vibration Reduction is valid...
In the first line of the OP's post it states
"The Nikon 24-70G ED VR is the esteemed workhorse of the Nikon Lens line-up."
The actual Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR clearly has the Letters VR in Gold directly under the Upper Case letter N for Nano Crystal Coat...
See image below...
Hope this helps to clarify the confusion...

I truly apologize for the misrepresentation. You are correct that this is not a VR lens and I admit to copying a few words from Nikon in the description. That being said...
Ken Rockwell states:
"This 24-70/2.8 was Nikon's best and most expensive midrange zoom until the 24-70/2.8 VR came out in 2015. This lens is a superb performer today and weighs and costs less than the newer VR version, lacking only VR (vibration reduction). People who buy f/2.8 zooms usually use them to shoot sports and action, for which VR does nothing. VR only helps for subjects that aren't moving, which is why this lens remains popular today".
This is a fantastic lens and I have to admit, the images are so clear I never considered that it does not have VR.
Thanks all for clarifying this as I do want to have a good representation as the occasional seller on UHH.
