I ordered a new cordless mouse so I would have one less wire to deal with. Thinking it would be better because it had a higher model number and a higher price, I ordered the Logitech M705. I'm not thrilled with this. In standard form, the wheel spins freely, which means the cursor or page moves more than I want it to when I use the wheel. I discovered that pushing on the top button adds clicks to the wheel, but they are so faint that I wasn't sure they were there. I think I'm going to return this and get an M505, which I've used before.

If any of you use the M705, I be glad to hear your opinions.

I really like my Apple Magic Mice!!! no wheels to mess with, scrolls fore & aft and left & right plus no buttons.

I use a Logitech M310 ... works great.

You can also adjust it: Go to Settings > Devices > Mouse > click > adjust speed, lines , way over on the right side > Related Settings > change pointer size, color. Play with it, there are a lot of options.

If you want Logitech cordless the best are the G900 or the G903. Their software is good to set it up as you need.

I use a Logitech M325.
Smaller and nicer to use.

I have a 705. Works very well. Never had any problems.
Could it be that you have a faulty one?
My experience is that Logitech customer support is very good.
Contact them. They may either repair the mouse you have or just send you another one.

I have a "Chinese cheapie" that cost me about $10. It has adjustable DPI (cursor speed) which works as well as the name brands. I've had them all over the past 30 years and this works as well as any of them

I have one. Love it. Could do without the little buttons on the side though.
Just checked it - it seems my clicker option is no more.

For more than 20 years I have used a trackball rather than a mouse. For much of that time I have used the Logitech M570 wireless trackball. I prefer the trackball to a mouse because it remains stationary on my desk. I cannot imagine going back to a mouse wired or wireless.

Can't help you with the M705, but I had a Logitech Ergo and hated it. I retired it after about 3 weeks.

I've been using a wired version of that, and I didn't mind it. I just wanted to get rid of the wire.

I originally use the IBM PS/2 mouse that came with my IBM PS/2 computer. It was OK. Later on I use Microsoft wired mouse. Right now I am using the Microsoft Pro Intellimouse and I like it.

I use an Apple wireless mouse and I love it, no wheels or buttons, and smooth clean comfortable lines, mine are old and take batteries, I don't know for sure but I think the batteries last several months and I never turn it off.

I have the 705. Has worked perfectly for many years. I like the idea you can choose one or two batteries so you can adjust its weight. Never seen that before. I think I am on second or third set of batteries and at least 6 years of use.

I gave up on my Apple wireless and switched to a Logitech wireless.
