That's pretty darned good, and I like how she titled it.
Looks like you have a budding artist in the family. Very nice.

Thank you Jo. If you weren't 1000+- miles away, I'd try to talk you into coming out of retirement to give her instruction. Whether or not she ever sells her art or teaches I hope she gets the lifetime of enjoyment that you have had so far.

For many years, I loved teaching people to paint because it was sheer delight to see the expression on their faces when they realized how well they could do.
The first thing I told them was: "Once you paint the first thing, you ARE an artist, you may not be the best artist ever, but you are far from the worst, AND you will improve with each painting you do for the rest of your life.
If someone wants to experiment with all mediums, it's easier to learn to paint with oils if you learn to use acrylics first. It's not nearly as easy to learn acrylics if you learn oils first. Alkyds are "oil" paints you use with water.
Pen and ink, pencil, colored pencils, chalk pastels and oil pastels are fun and easy. I hope she tries them all! Tell her there's an old woman out here who is cheering for her and if there is anything I can help her with please feel free to ask. Tell her I already see that she is going to be good at this!!!
