Yet another beautiful day on the eastern slopes of the Rockies.
Used a Sony A7R V camera on a Lunt 60 Ha Solar scope with a 2.5x & 5x PowerMate, mounted on an iOptron CEM26 EQ mount.
Shot four sessions of 8K video and processed for the best single frame using PIPP. Final tweaking in Lightroom and Photoshop. Second and third session results were combined in a panorama.
While I shooting the third video session there was coronal mass ejection of material as seen on top of the panorama.
The Earth is shown for size reference!
Enjoy!

I've always wanted one of those scopes, but then I'd be up day and night. I'll let you catch the daytime shots, as the sun isn't very bright at night.

LOL! But that sun's reflection off the moon is darned bright!
It was bright enough last night to have all the local coyotes and wolves out hunting and howling, along with our dogs answering. A very noisy night in the Nitchi valley.

You are really nailing those HA solar images. Looks like the sun is fairly active right now.

I love hearing their singing, but from a distance.
