Regardless of whatever skills went into making it, for me it smacks of a cheap porn mag. shot.

Maybe we should create a new section for those who don’t find these kind of pictures “a little bit too much”
I am not a fan of the gynecologist view

Here we are on the 7th page relative with comments to this photo. Historically images of this nature have been immediately taken down by the administration. Why has this image lasted so long?

I think the problem is one of drawing a line in the sand. One has to sign up to this section, so there is an implied consent to see images that are not for public consumption.

I would prefer that members of this section police the content on their own without interference by admin except in extreme circumstances. By commenting on preferences or acceptability I expect the content will self-correct over time.

The pose would make more sense if she were on a plastic Twister mat.

That is normally played with more than 1 player, I believe.

Another observation... this image has had a VERY high number of views. That must mean something (like repeat visits... many repeat visits???).

I fail to see the conclusion that the number of views means repeat visits. Survey of the commentary strongly implies this type of image is not appreciated. It could be implied grossly unappreciated

How would Maplethorp's controversial subject matter work be treated here? He is very famous and a very accomplished photographer. I don't appreciate a good portion of the subject matter of his work at all. There are a bunch of landscapes and modern art I hate too... . . Doesn't mean I would ever consider preventing someone else from viewing or displaying them. And doesn't mean maplethorp doesn't know what he is doing... He is way closer to Ansel Adams than I will ever be as far as photographic craftsmanship. And some seem to love and appreciate the most controversial subject matter.

Freedom of speech means allowing speech you don't like or agree with. A concept that many nowadays fail to comprehend.

So let's conclude that this isn't the sort of image you'd take nor display... I appreciate your viewpoint on this. But thats all I care to hear from you on the subject. You had to jump through some hoops to view it, nobody forced you. You can avoid the OP's work altogether, you can set the OP in your "ignore" list and not see any of his posts.

So if it is ok with you, I'd prefer to decide what I don't want to look at or appreciate for myself- and wish the same for you.
