Miami Beach viewed from a vintage Leica 50mm F1.5 Lens

I spent about 2 days in Miami Beach and captured some pictures with a Leica M9 (I love this camera, an 18MB FF with the best picture click sound, it feels like you're taking pictures with one of the M's film cameras) and a vintage Summarit 50 mm F1.5.
The lens has a lot of character (a sliver of focus at 1.5), flare in the sun, and some weird reddish stains that appear randomly, and it is not the sharpest.
I know it sounds negative in most aspects, but the images it produces are lovely, the vivid colors, exquisite transition from out of focus to focus, and vice-versa.
The other challenge is of course the rangefinder manual focusing of the M9, but I've used the Leica's for years and it is quite second nature now.
Enjoy!

Those certainly look like film images to me. Nice nostalgic ambiance to them.

I really do like image, even with the slight softness. Is that primarily a product of the shallow DOF on everything except the Olds?

yes I shot mostly at F1.7 but I switched to F11 for a time.
Keep in mind this is an old lens and it probably needs cleaning, etc.
