The buying of company names after the company has closed or been sold is big business. It makes me sad that a company such as Bell and Howell and Minolta and many others that used to make quality products are now tied to cheap basically junk products. I see it all the time on TV. Bell and Howell now supposedly make cheap outdoor solar powered lights. I can't remember what RCA is making now that it's name too has been bought. It's almost a scam playing on the quality name of a now defunct company.

I suspect Elite Brands goes to Chinese trade shows, orders cameras with the Minolta name stuck on the front.
