Great shots for handheld at those shutter speeds! VR sure does help.
Magnificent light and colors.

Many thanks for your kind comments, lnl! Yes, without VR I would definitely have needed a tripod or bumped up the ISO/opened up the lens even further.

Beautiful set John. The fog actually adds to the mood. I can feel the cold!

Many thanks, Mark! Yes, you are right, it does. I was out there in my shirt sleeves (lol). Seriously, it was 32F out there and very icy. We are having a very strange winter; unusually warm for this time of year. It is 41F out there right now where the normal high is about 20F.

A lot of initial fog. Had to wait for some time before it lifted enough so that I could take hand held photos.

Nice shots of a beautiful city. The atmospheric conditions lead to different photos than we normally see. Thanks!

Bill

Thank you kindly, Bill! My pleasure. Yes, the combination of semi-darkness and fog do give the images a different look.
If I am photographing here in the city, I often go out at night or early morning, an hour before sunrise. At night there is little traffic, so I can wander the streets unperturbed, while the abundance of lights allow me to shoot without a tripod. During the hour before sunrise the light changes quite rapidly, so I can get different looking images within a couple of minutes.

To those who have never been there, Old Quebec is a magical, unique place. There are areas where you feel like you are visiting classic Paris. It is certainly a beautiful, charming city that should be on everyone's bucket list.

Can't argue with your sentiments, debugger!
The Quebec City Tourism Department has asked me to pass on its appreciation(lol).

We are on 7 acres W/field on both sides. So to me it looks close, but it is pretty
