Please let me know if anyone has had this experience with their payboo credit card account?
I always or almost always purchase my photography equipment from B and H and usually use payboo for the purchase especially when given a year to pay off the balance.
For the second time in a year Comenity the banking institution servicing the credit card has applied the payment to newer charges and not to the charges with accrued interest. The latest statement distributed the payment to charges and left a 1 cent balance on the oldest charge. I received a minimum $2.00 interest charge, not a big deal but the principal.
When I called they again could not answer why the did what they did but reversed the interest charge.
Again not a big charge but if this or similar charges are being put through without backup or explanation, it may be time to use another card or not purchase the item at all.
Just asking if anyone else has experienced this problem?
No, as I pay the balance off totally as soon as it is posted. I use the "waived sales tax" option rather than the no interest option. I live in California-hence the sales tax option.
Have a home in Delaware’s state that has no sales tax so I use the time payment method.
I heard so many problem with the Pay Boo card.

I opened a "Pay-Boo" credit card account 1+ years ago to purchase a new $2000+ "Dream" Canon lens.
When my "Pay-Boo" credit card was finally approved I ordered the lens from B&H.
By then the lens was sold out so I got in the queue to purchase the lens.
Just before the lens was back in stock at B&H my account with my "Pay-Boo" credit card was cancelled, without notice, "Due to inactivity".
I had activated the card as soon as it arrived, however, I had the card ~2 months before trying to use it anywhere.
Since B&H had nothing to do with the cancellation I went ahead with my purchase using my Costco Credit Card which took about half of the "Sting" away, sigh.
B&H is still my "Go-To Camera Store" because if they don't have it, you don't need it.
After reading, yes I did, the 12+ pages of small print conditions that came with the "Pay-Boo" credit card account, they did me a huge favor, which makes me . . . .

If that's what they do, they are breaking every rule of bookkeeping/accounting. One ALWAYS applies payments to the oldest charge first!
They stated I would have to tell them to apply to oldest charge. They left 1 cent on an older charge and credited newer charges and then charged a $2.00 min. Interest on that 1cent balance. Second time this has happened and second time I had to spend 30 min. On the phone only to get the $2.00 removed. On vacation, but if not would have let the charge stand. Waste of time

I have a Pay-Boo card. You have it for “one” reason, to avoid your state’s sales tax. If you don’t use the card, you “will lose it.” If you don’t pay the bill within the pay period, you pay a price. It’s as simple as that. The rules are simple….
I have been usin the Pay Boo card for over a year and it has saved me a lot off $$$$ because I sold all my old Nikon gear and went to mirrowless spending over $20,000.00...
I always pay the balance when it comes in!
The answers to your statement is as follows.
1. Package shipped to Delaware and the state does not charge sales tax.
2. Payment was made in full however it was not allocated to the oldest charge and one revolving 12 mth accrued interest charge was payed except for a one cent balance. That is how I incurred a $2.00 minimum interest charge.
And finally,I always pay the entire balance on any and all credit cards when due.

I had a Payboo card when it was introduced but cancelled it when I had a devil of a time trying to find where to download the credit card statements so they could be paid. Time passed and I wanted to make a major purchase, but Comenity Bank kept insisting that I still had an active card. I finally contacted someone at Comenity Bank (not an easy feat) and they sent me a letter stating that in fact the account had been closed. So some 19 months later Comenity still thought I had an active card. Only after getting ahold of a lead at B&H was it confirmed that Comenity had a programming mistake. 6 months later it was cleared up.
I also found out there were hundreds of others in the same boat. Eventually all was sorted, but I felt that B&H was as befuddled by the mess at Comenity as I.
You are using a service named "PayBoo."
That alone should tell you all you need to know.
I don't buy anything expensive from B&H since they introduced the Payboo so I didn't want to apply for it. I heard some bad stories about Payboo like someone paid the bill as soon as he got it it's still late.
