The top number is what I'll owe them in June of this year. The bottom numbers are my billing history. The price has literally doubled in 4 years. The other thing is that I've watched just about everything I want to watch on their site. Mostly it was a nostalgia trip. Their new content has all of the drama of a typical Hallmark movie. I don't know how they're going to stay in business. I'm going to ditch them.

I noticed a charge near the annual renewal time for $8.49 instead of the $84.99 for our package.
I thought something got screwed up in the billing system.
The next month there was a charge for $8.49...
Looks like they went to monthly billing and the price went up $16.98 for the year.
12 at $8.49 instead of one at $84.99.......

I figure Disney has other problems that are going to hurt their pocketbook. Like the new “modern” version of Goldilocks and the Seven Dwarfs where Goldilocks is Hispanic and the seven dwarfs are a mixture of other races and lifestyle choices. In addition, they are normal height and none are dwarfs and the story takes place in the ghetto. Really, this is true.

I suspect that when most parents or grandparents are given the choice between the old animated version or the new human actor version for their kids to watch, the traditional version will win out.

Disney revising the stories that multiple generations have grown up with is probably not going to be successful. What will they do next, revise the Bible? I’m sure an all inclusive version where everyone is happy, there’s 15 commandments and no smiting is going on will be a best seller.

I don't think that most young people will ever see the "classic" versions of their animated movies. You can watch them if you have a subscription to Disney+. You can watch them if you still have the DVDs (or even VHS copies) that grandpa bought, assuming you have a player. I just noticed that you can buy or rent them, or at least some of them, on YouTube. Disney's YouTube channel has mostly much newer stuff on it. Disney is pretty strict on blocking random people from uploading their copyrighted stuff to YouTube for others to watch for free.

It's almost as bad as Comcast they keep rising the cost every year and telling you it's because of operating cost's well I would like to know how much of that money is going into the pockets of the big shots who do nothing but sit behind a desk if they do that. When I moved from California my cable bill was like $150.00 a month or so that included internet and a land line phone and a lot more cable channels to watch to when I moved to Vancouver Washington a little over 4 years has gone up well over $125.00 dollars month and lost a lot of the cable channels that I had in California which is ridiculous.

I just dropped Disney...I was made to believe that Iger was going to fix the rampant idiocy that was producing looser after looser. Nope, nothing changed. So I walked.

Easy! It's either worth it or not. The latter for me.

Spectrum added free streaming for Disney+ to my account a few weeks ago.
I looked at it but so far have not found anything I really want to watch.

Disney shows a lot of movies but one it has never shown or published again is “Song of the South”. I wonder why
Sure would like to get a copy of the old release.

Years ago I read that they are not re-releasing it due to its portrayal of slavery and the sympathetic treatment one of the major characters, Uncle Remus. Those elements were not compatible with the "politically correct"
(re-imgagined?) narrative that the studio wants to portray.
