All wonderful pictures but how did you get so close to that whale?!! Maybe not a planned meeting?

Here are a few more for the downer category, probably my last for this challenge.

Maybe last but not least!! These are tremendous. The one of the Grand Canyon is fantastic. Love the lighting and the view down and through that river basin.

If Yellow Labs are anything like Goldens, I believe it. I stayed with a family who raised Goldens when I was in High School. They never let up with their attention!! The sweetest, most loving dogs I've ever known. I'll have to try to find some older pictures and scan them.

I do think Goldens and Labs have a lot in common. Having a pup like that around in your early years can really make a difference. πŸ˜ŠπŸ’—

A really good series, Pat. What a catch on that minkeβ€ΌοΈπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

That little minke was having a grand time entertaining a boatload of whale watchers - diving under the boat, breeching etc. The captain told us we were very lucky and that it was highly unusual.

Tony, these are stunning. That spot off East End beach is so idyllic. And I love love love your little son checking out a camera for you. I'm betting he is now all grown up and managing a family of his own.

It was a whale watch out of Portland harbor. The whale was playing tag with the boat and entertaining visitors. I was the winning bidder at a charity auction of 2 tickets so I took my, then, young grandson with me. Often the tours seenothing or the whales are far off. We lucked out.
