Looking for input on what software works best for converting sfw files to jpgs. What kind of work flow do you do to speed up the process?
Thanks
What is the extension -- after the dot (like.JPEG) that you have after the file number.
Google:

Download and install the latest version of Filestar.
Right click on one or more Sfw file(s) on your desktop and select Convert with Filestar.
Type convert to jpg in the search box.
Press Convert.
SFWs was a great money-saving go-to... yes, as Linda said they can be converted from your CD disk. After conversion, they will need AI to clean, sharpen, and up size the images.

I said nothing about CDs. My reply was a straight copy/paste from a Google search. Figured it would be as accurate and helpful as most other replies
I always assumed SFW also sent the negatives as well. I know they did that before they had CDs. Were the CDs an excuse to no longer send the negatives ?
Yes, I know the negs were weird and so you couldnt get decent prints at CVS, but digitizing SFW negs should work well enuf.
Yes as I recall they did send the negatives too... the film was 35mm movie film.
Well I tried a few converters and they all cost money which is okay but not on a monthly basis. Why doesn't windows have their own unzip software?
I had a few friends that burned Seattle Filmworks film back in the day. I stuck with Kodachrome. It didn’t take too long for their negatives to quickly fade. Decades later, my Kodachrome slides look great.
Irfanview has SFW converter...

Tried Infranview today and it would only let me do one photo at a time. I'm pulling the files off a floppy disc so I don't know if that's the issue.

Okay. So, its one at a time. There shouldnt be many files on a floppy. OTOH if there ARE very many on a floppy then the files are tiny and in dire need of state of the art AI enhancement.
