…. and that, Ladies and Gentlemen were, in a (maybe rather large) nutshell our travels for the past two years - hopefully life will afford me in a few years down the road yet sufficient time to work on the remainder of these images and with a bit of luck, I might unearthen a few more treasures. In the meantime, life goes on, and I am getting set to commence another, very exciting trip to the southern hemisphere, mopping up one of those many open locations in my "to-do-bucket-list". With a bit of luck, I will hopefully have another exciting flash back at the end of 2024 and provide a few more visual pleasures of this extraordinary, beautiful and interesting planet that we all can call home.

For the last post in this short series, I have assembled a potpourri of images, first from a couple of interesting places in various parts of Switzerland which I have not been able to fit into any of the preceding posts, and then ending where it all began…..... with a series of captures from our first days in Switzerland early in May in the still-Covid-infused year 2022. We actually decided upon our arrival not to go directly to our son's place, but to spend four days at a hotel in Beckenried on the shores of Lake Lucerne, sort of in a self-imposed quarantine, vetting ourselves from the travel exposures we just experienced coming from the US West Coast.

We stayed in the very pleasant Nidwaldnerhof Hotel, enjoyed the great food there as well as the beautiful vistas - from the first signs of dawn to the last moments of dusk - and I was very lucky to grab a few interesting shots with which I will end this series.

As with all of my previous presentations, I enjoyed posting these images and I especially treasure the interaction with so many of the viewers here, some of whom have almost become friends, unseen though they still may be - but there is hope that over the coming years, we can meet one or the other here in the upper Pacific Northwest, or wherever our traveling paths might cross - even over in Europe or in Asia, two of our other home-continents. - Since I will be on an extensive travel schedule, I will not be able to access UHH frequently, and will thus be absent for a longer time. - Farewell to all our good friends - Joe & Susan Weber

MY ONLINE ALBUMS: If you are interested to see more photos of this series, I invite you to view my albums on my photo website. Access my website with the link below, click on the tab "Albums-Chronological" on top, this post is part of the album "2022 Trips - Interim Selection" at the top of the list. Click on the link "Short" to see the small selection of images I already worked on, more to come at a much later date. Many other albums can also be accessed. - Earlier travel series I posted on UHH can also be viewed via my website: Click on the tab "Ugly Hedgehog" on top which provides access to the chronological list of the topics I posted on UHH. This overview list is much easier to read than going directly into my UHH posting inventory: it indicates the topics and pages in the UHH inventory listing where these can be found. With that list also comes the link to my inventory. Unfortunately the link from my website to the actual albums or to UHH works only on laptop or desktop computers, not on handheld devices like iPad or cellphones. This is because the standard pdf format I use for the list is not supported by these handheld devices.

Thank you rde, glad you liked this set presenting the colors green, blue and red (I just couldn't help saying that, as I just realized how different in their color tones these 3 sections within that set are).
