At the Eccles Wildlife Education Center at Farmington Bay, the local Rocky Mountain Power Company has erected a group of poles with supports that allow great blue herons to nest safely. The herons then gather nest building materials for Spring mating and hatching.
This set shows some of the early arrivals already staking claims. There are about eight poles and they become very popular. As the season goes on, I will provide updates.
Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Thanks, Barbara, this center is only about 5 years old and already making a big contribution.
Thanks for the thumbs up, Tom.
Very interesting 📸
Do you know if the GBH have been there all year?

Thanks, John. There are some GBH year round, but the big bunch comes in the spring. You can get good views from the Eccles Center and its parking lot.
Nice. I really like the coloring.
Thanks, I need to get out more.
