When I publish a post here, I know there will be comments. In the past, some comments might point to suggestions or examples to improve my craft, others can express gratitude for my post, while some actually provide constructive feedback to point out disagreements. While it would be nice to engage in a conversation with anything off the street, I find it a waste of time getting in a back and forth with people who are rude amateur photographers - and obviously just don't get it. In addition, they do not know who I am.

There was an obvious WB problem with your photo, but that could have be pointed out without meanness and condescension. That's why I asked if the green tint on the buildings was accurate.

I know youre a decent events shooter ... with a funny attitude. I have already said as much.

OTOH it does not matter at all to me whoever might not "know who I am". Not my problem. Strictly take it or leave it. Your problem is not my problem. Thaz MY attitude.

I'm waiting for the grade school humor. Don't I deserve some of your silly cartoon images?

Well I haven't heard back yet so I guess you've quit and I'm getting ready to have dinner so you'll have to entertain yourself (in whatever manner you do that) until I return.

You just did!
You don't need to announce when a conversation is over, just quietly move on.
Many people feel they need the last word ... you don't.

Nobody should be editing your photos without permission. If it is a problem, message "Admin"

If you check on it you would find an important difference between proudly displayed finished pix in the gallery vs technical example images within the general photo discussion section.

Acoarst I would agree (with everyone ?) that finished pix in the Gallery section should be universally Untouchable. Different purposes.

Theres nothing about image editing in the general forum rules, but the Gallerys rules specifically require having the authors permission to edit.

It appears to me that the problem was unfortunate placement of square brackets in the response, which looks like it was all intended to be in the quote. There are other comments. Breaking the quote into sections would have resolved that issue.

If you are really adamant about people not trying to illustrate a point using your images, I believe you should place that restriction in your signature. I see it in other signatures and to me it stands out. I am always tempted to point something out using the original image, but were that restriction in your signature I would not do so. I recognize that the rules say you should get permission to use another's image, but it is done frequently enough that posters ignore that rule unless it is reinforced. Not that it's right, but it is what it is.
