Verizon let me keep my S-III, but I recycled it because I no longer had a need for it.
Camera in the new phone.. No need to carry the old one for a camera.
All apps transferred to the new phone.
I could have used it as a paper weight.

I'm using old iPods for music in the house.

You can support victims of domestic violence by donating your old cell phone to the Women’s Resource Center (WRC). The WRC participates in a cell phone recycling program where donated cell phones are turned in, and depending upon the condition of the phone, it will either be refurbished or recycled in an environmentally friendly way.

Thanks. Good to know.

I saw them on Temu. Jerry. One question. How is that toy tractor you got from Temu. I ordered one to give to give to my grandson. Expecting it to arrive within the next few days. I hope it works good. My grandson is an 8 year old genius. AT 4 years old he knew what VAB meant ( Vehicle Assembly Building) at Kennedy Space Center. I also ordered a few other things. The prices from that company are real cheap plus no shipping charges. What do you think of them.

Great idea, but
in the case of my S-III, it no longer works as a phone after 1/1/2023 due to a 4G operation aspect it used.

Apple air tags appear to work pretty good. My daughter (whom is an Apple nut, has everything possible) recently travelled from Chicago to London England. She arrived safely but without her luggage which happily contained a tag. She was able to locate her luggage and called the airlines to advise them exactly where it was at O’hare airport. Within 3 days her missing bags were delivered to her hotel in England. Pretty good service from British Airways. She also has a tag attached to her dogs collar in case it wanders off. (Dog cost more than a iPhone)
I have a set like Jerry is talking about. Only good for about a range of 100 feet and is self contained. ( needs no phone etc. ) Good enough for this old bugger as my keys accidentally finds it way into a piece of my wardrobe that I swear I never wear 😜😜

Jerry, as per your request 😀, I wrote a little folksy review of Apple’s Air Tags (for iOS and PC’s) which I'll share to you here:

“Back awhile ago, I wrote about the value of Apple’s AirTags. Now I saw the real-time value of an AirTag. Thanks to a good friend of mine who suggested I write a sequel on my ordeal.

We went on a long-planned week vacation to Phoenix, Arizona for a ‘3 Sisters Vacation’, which happens every five to ten years. Due to our medical issues of walking, and thanks to our Daughter-In-Law, we both had wheelchair access from the Airports entrance to the ticket window, all the way to the plane door, then from the plane doors (both flights with lay-overs) all the way to the Airports pickup area where my son picked us up in Rochester, NY. That helped us a lot.

Now... In Phoenix, Arizona on the way back, the ‘wheelchair pushing people’ somehow lost Arlene’s overhead luggage on the way to the Boarding area, which I discovered as we boarded the plane! I immediately told the Senior Flight Attendant that they were missing Arlene’s overhead luggage. Uh Oh, she started making calls and promised the next flight for her bag if they can’t find it in the Gate area... Uh Oh... mind images now! The Phoenix Airport is immense and crowded!

We’re in our seats and I immediately opened my iPhones ‘Find My’ App and clicked on ‘Arlene’s Light Green Luggage’ and there it was; in the American Airlines Corridor between the ‘American Admiral’s Club’ Lounge (whatever that is) and a Food Vendor store, mid-corridor! I signaled the Head Flight Attendant and showed her on the App exactly where it was. She zipped up to the front of the plane and the phone.

Oh well, now they closed the doors and taxied for the Runway, less her luggage. The Attendant said probably ‘next plane out’. Midnight, on the first leg of our journey home, as per the App, it was still in the corridor. In Detroit, Michigan we had a three hour layover. On the last leg of our flight, they suggested I go to the ‘Missing Baggage Offce’ on arrival in New York, which we did at almost midnight!

On arrival at ‘Missing Baggage’, (at midnight, mind you,) the offce Mgr was waiting and opened the offce and said ‘You must be the Engels!’ They found Arlene’s Luggage where the Air Tag said it was and it’s on the way. They will express deliver her luggage the following morning to our door. They did, and it was intact. I have to shout out my appreciation to ‘American Airlines’ for their diligence in sending her Bag and re-routing it in less than a day to our front door. That was amazing! And a thank you to Apple for their wonderful technology. What a great world we now live in.

P.S., I tracked Arlene’s Air Tag on the ‘Find My’ App from Phoenix AZ to Detroit, Michigan to Rochester, NY (mid-night) to Baggage Claim, their Driver to my Home, all on the App. That was fun. Air Tags are an amazing marvel and do the job they were designed for.

This was my real introduction to them. Now they’re hidden in her Handbag and our Car. Do Air Tags work? You betcha!

It is "as advertised." It's metal and plastic, and it works just fine. I lost interest after a few minutes, so I'm going to give it away. I'll bring it to one of my "oldie" groups and offer it for grandchildren - or anyone else. It seems to be identical to the one on Amazon for twice the price.

I got lucky with Temu once, but I'm not pushing my luck.
