As soon as I saw this photo, Kim, it made me recall the toll booth scene from "The Godfather", even though Sonny was driving a black coupe. Awesome car and location.

That was the days when having something like that meant you had money. Today anyone can lease a nice car even if it does get repo’ed a month later.

My father had a '41 Continental. The one thing I remember about it was the pushbutton door lock. Don't know why it never caught on.

Thanks for all of your car photos. I love the cars from the late 30s, the 40s and the early 50s. But I've always felt that this Lincoln was not an especially attractive car. The front is nice but I don't find the rest of the car very appealing. Just me.
