This is my first time at putting any of my pictures on The Hog. Also my first time of doing any portrait work with lighting. My lighting is not a pro grade, but a guy has to start somewhere.
I am open to any critiquing, good, bad or otherwise.
I have them all framed ready for Christmas gifts this year...
Thanks in advance for any help..
Merry Christmas to all.

Merry Christmas to you too! Great shots of the family.Lots of new memories!

One, three and five are real winners. One just feels natural to me, three is a great shot- and model and five because you caught both the boy and the girls expressions perfectly. Really nice

that said...being a Bears fan caused me to cringe when I saw the Seahawks jersey. I still have nightmares after the Seahawks whipped the Bears.

Great start and good models. On #2 and 4 there is a shadow on the young man's face. Position the main light camera right and the fill light camera left to help with this. Also a flash meter can help determine the intensity of your lights if you use studio strobe. I remember my first "portraits" and you are "light" years ahead of my beginnings. Happy Holidays.
All are good but love the 3rd one. That little one has "modeling" written all over her face. lol lol You did very nice with them.
Gary we make do whith whay we have, you did a great job. Keep doing it, have a good one.

My lighting consists of some "inexpensive" things from ebay. Not knowing for sure if I want to really delve into portaits I kept my cost down. I learned a ton and lookc forward to the next ones. The little girl in the 3rd shot is 4 and she is a hoot. We are going to do another day...just with her.
Thank you so much for your input, everyone little thing helps.

Very nice shots BigG! Are the backgrounds actual or were they added? Nice touch. Wish my 'first' attempts were that good.
Merry Christmas.
