I would like to share some images of my on scene photography with the Peoria Fire Department last week. All images were shot with a nikon Z9, 24-70mm 2.8 S lens, auto-ISO. The temperature was -3 degrees. The structure fire occurred at 3 am. Cudos to all fire departments throughout our nation who risk their lives on a daily basis to protect their respective communities. If interested, you can see more my images on my Facebook.

Wonderful images! The fire department should be very happy with your images and most likely would like some to put in their archives and maybe use in advertising for donations.

I love your “fire scene” shots.
After 27 years of working fire, the action shots still [set off my station buzzer”!
I worked before the advent of cell phone cameras and mini cameras, so we we never had access or the ability to catch our crews (or equipment) doing what we were trained to do. Even if we were able to pull out a camera from our turnout coats or Nomex clothing, I doubt that the adrenaline (rush) would have allowed anyone to have a steady hand, long enough to snap off a decent photo or video of the guys [putting blue stuff on the red stuff]!
Thanks for posting your collection.
Send more.

Wonderful photos. Thanks for sharing. I know the men and women of the fire service appreciate your tribute.

With 3 generations in my family as firefighters in Southern California, we especially appreciate the hard work and tenacity of those who serve in that cold weather region! Bravo.

Jim
