House Finch Face With Texture

Posting for feedback really. I don't do a lot with textures or photoshop-type edits. The face image is with two textures applied, the bottom is the source image. My intent was to make the face have that "painterly" feel I see others doing. The source is from what I call one of my B-roll images. A nice image but one I would use to fill in space for stronger images when storytelling. I wanted to try some things with the B-roll to see if I could make them have more interest.

Is this type of edit worth doing? Does this type or art (for lack of a better word) sell?

Yes, that type of "art" is worth doing. Will it sell? I really don't know, or honestly much care. Not all pictures need to have commercial value, some are allowed to just be fun. You're post is one of those.
