I just realized why. I import using canon software. It automatically gives me a folder on my desktop with both files in it. I guess that’s what you meant by a cataloguer. My bad.

A "catalog" is simply a listing of items.
Editors have catalogs, Windows Explorer is a catalog, of <all> files.
Since the photos are the only files in the "photos directories", I see a list of them with a thumbnail.
I don't need another dedicated program to keep track of the photos.

Now that we have 32 pages of responses, what have we learned ? Is anyone going to change their procedures because of the survey ? Is anyone at least going to rethink their procedures ? What is the analysis of this ?

One thing we got from this is a better understanding of the UHH human landscape. And in a good way.

Analysis:
About 16% of the respondents shoot only JPEG.....
The remainder shoot at least RAW.

Is there something else that you want to read into it?

It seems good you acted on that curiosity.
Even got some participation on it from the sidelines.

I was pleasantly surprised by the turnout of normally quiet people.

Because I ask if there was some other way to analyze the data, I'm grumpy?????

Erroneous inference.
