Now that we have 32 pages of responses, what have we learned ? Is anyone going to change their procedures because of the survey ? Is anyone at least going to rethink their procedures ? What is the analysis of this ?

I shoot both and I don’t know why. 90% of my photos are indoors, gymnastics, HS hockey. Usually poor lighting, high ISO’s. I can’t ever remember processing a jpeg even when the shot needs little or no adjustments. Still process the RAW file. Think I’ll change my mode to RAW only.
I shoot both because I like to peruse the images in File Explorer (I don't use a cataloger) then edit the RAW file.
(Up until Windows 11, Explorer dis not display .CR2 files.)
My wife knows how to use Explorer and probably is not interested in learning a cataloger.
Explorer is just a simple "catalog" listing with viewable thumbnails.
I
could save only RAW, but then to share a JPEG anywhere I'd have to open an editor and Save As JPEG.
I wouldn't care to do that for, lets say 20+ images.

Probably following "curious" down the unknown path.....that's it.

I have a canon. I have win 10. When I import the photos I use file explorer to open them. I get 2 files for each shot. A CR2 and a jpg.

I just realized why. I import using canon software. It automatically gives me a folder on my desktop with both files in it. I guess that’s what you meant by a cataloguer. My bad.
