Ah!Yes! The infamous Attic is conjured from the depths of our minds. What is this place? A place of Respite. No! It is a place of solidarity confinement. On the radio in the distance plays, “Wish You Were Here,” by Pink Floyd. But I am off in a faraway place know as, “The Ugly Hedge Hog Forum. I know have a chance to vent my thoughts and frustrations. A place of free speech. Or so I thought. My fingers type at the keys on the keyboard. Suddenly, the screen of my cell phone utters an horrible groan screeching of in the night.
The screen is visited by the Admin now warning me that I have crossed the line between Political Correctness and Truth.
There is a knock at the front door. I walk to answer the call. I open the door and there stands a muscular gentleman who tells me, “I’m the Admin! You must come with meee!” He grabs my waist and hurls me over his shoulder. We are now in a sparsely decorated room with a single door. He throws me down and opens that door. Inside there are stairs upwards. Rather than help me up, he grabs my ankles and slowly walks up the stairs. With each step my head dangles and I bang it on the step below. I count thirty nine steps and laid down in a dark room. I fumble about hearing nothing and finding cobwebs and things on the floor. I am in the infamous Attic left alone to think of my fate. From the darkness I hear screams and pleadings.
I too will plead. I beg the Admin to release me and I shall not commit any more transgressions.
I am finally released and given the responsibility to warn other Hoggers of the impending doom

The steel drum band doesn't march, but there is one at the Michigan high school in this vid that is pretty great.
There are quite a few vids available of them in various years, various locations. Their middle school level steel pan band, also.

Pretty good!!! Are you related to one of the kids in the band? My cousin's son played quads in the Michigan band until he graduated about three years ago. As I was growing up I had the good fortune to go to Michigan home games when William Revelli was band director.

No relatives that I'm aware of, no.
I came across some of their school videos, one time when I was browsing through videos of some professional steel pan groups.
I was impressed by how well these students were doing....obviously fortunate to have some very capable instruction.

The Attic is one of the sections of the UHH Forum. The owner of the forum ("Admin") had included a "Chit-Chat" section where folks could discuss stuff that was not related to photography. But he didn't want any political discussions since they too often turned nasty. He wasn't able to keep politics out of Chit-Chat. So he created The Attic section. Now, if posters to any topic venture into politics, Admin will move that thread to The Attic.

Posters in the Attic tend to exhibit low-life behavior so enter at your own risk!

Thank you for the explanation. I am happy to hear that politics are not permitted on this site. There is an enough of that everywhere else and I don’t see any place for it on a photography site! I can come here free of fear! That’s the end of my political conversation and commentary!
